Biométhodes aims to
commercialize its unique and proprietary
technology for next generation
biorefineries to convert non-food
feedstock to cellulosic biofuels,
renewable chemicals and biomaterials.
Biométhodes has developed a technology
platform, OPTALYSIS®, to successfully integrate two crucial steps for
the economic exploitation of
lignocellulosic renewable products,
chemical pre-treatment and enzymatic
hydrolysis. The two components combine
to
extract high-purity lignin, and to
produce amorphous cellulose
that is highly susceptible to enzymatic
hydrolysis and conversion to C6/C5
sugars.
